There are many ways the feet can be restrained for the bastinado. Here are some typical methods used.

Hogtied

Using the hogtie for bastinado is a good choice, however there are some problems with the feet being secured in this position. With the feet presented to the cane while hogtied it is possible for the victim to cross the soles of his feet thereby restricting the impact of the cane to particularly sore areas of his soles. Bastinado while hogtied can be a great experience but not maybe the better one if you like your soles to be immobile and totally at the mercy of the cane



Willingly presented

This is a great challenge for the person receiving the punishment. The victim willingly presents his soles to the torturer in readiness for the cane. The pain of the bastinado is such that the human being will react in a defensive manner and move the soles out of the way of the oncoming torture. It would take a person with great staying power to receive the bastinado in this manner without withdrawing his soles. whipping and this method works really well.

Using the spreader bar

Spreader bars are a great way to separate the feet thereby making each sole totally vulnerable to the attention of the cane. Even though the victim can move his feet around, I find this to be better than the hogtie to satisfy the aim of the session. The victim should be unable to retract his soles from the cane.

Feet bound and suspended

Again this method of presenting the soles for the bastinado is a good choice. The soles are bound tightly and then suspended at the perfect height for the torturer to apply the cane. Of course if does once again allow the victim a little too much freedom in movement. The victim can again cross soles preventing the cane from impacting sore areas and reducing the effects of the punishment. This method is great if you have the ability to suspend the soles – which is not always possible in BDSM sessions held at home.

 

Feet in stocks

The feet can be secured in a good pair of stocks to receive the bastinado. This is another great way of receiving the punishment. Of course once again the feet have room for movement. If you have access to stocks then why not lock in those soles and wait for cane.
